Group Income Protection Insurance
What is a Group Income Protection Scheme?
As an employer you may wish to offer your staff the benefit of a regular income if they are unable to work due to illness or injury. You may have included this in the contract with your employees. This comes at a cost, if paid from normal trading receipts, at a time when revenues may be reduced by the absence of a key employee.
But this can be covered by a Group Income Protection Scheme which would pay out a proportion of a regular income if an employee cannot work due to illness or injury and satisfies the definition of incapacity.
As the employer you can decide when to take out the cover, how soon an employee should be paid and for how long.
Who is Group Income Protection Scheme suitable for?
- Employers with 10 employees or more
- Employers that wish to provide some income for their staff if they are unable to work due to sickness or injury
- Employers that want to provide extra benefits for their staff
